An interesting offer

Posted by David Hardy · 28 January 2008 05:14 PM

The Arizona Legislature is considering a bill that would allow teachers to arm themselves on school premises.

So Ignatius Piazza, founder of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, has made an offer: if the Legislature passes the bill, he will provide a free four-day course at his Institute to any teacher who asks for it.

Hat tip to reader Jack Anderson...

I've been to Front Sight before for their two-day Practical Rifle course, and it's a top-notch facility.

This offer is very generous of Piazza, and makes me wish I was a teacher.

Piazza is offering something similar for those buying a lifetime membership to GOA.

I took their four day handgun class. It was amazing how much I learned. Two thumbs up.

I guess it just goes to show you; don’t try to skim important articles before your morning coffee. I thought at first they were going to be giving away free pizzas.

Here in Salt Lake we have several places who teach the class free to teachers or students, including the local Cabela's.

Here in Israel, we have armed security guards and armed teachers in every school.

Of course it doesn't hurt that all of them are veterans!
